thankful thursdays 12/9

* Keziah is on a smoothie kick and I am so enjoying her creations she keeps bringing me every morning!

* Can I just say I have the best friends a girl could ever ask for? Today I heard about an amazing deal at Costco…like about 90% off amazing…and so I quickly called my friends Robin, Jennifer, and Jane to see who could help me out. Jane bought them for me, Robin is going to go pick them up, and I will get them next week on my way through Pocatello. What heroes! What true friends! Cool blocks are coming to our home and to my math class!

* We have Eve here with us this week. I love this girlie so much and want to keep her here forever. It is so fun having her be such a huge part of our family!

* Yesterday I was blessed to be able to watch Kat’s children so she could go to IKEA on a big double date with her husband, Jennifer, and Jesse. Although Jain and Annesley are the most curious creatures ever, it was fun to have a houseful of so many little ones! My children had a blast playing all day long with their best friends. I was super blessed with thank-you presents from Kat…dark chocolate, Kat’s famous hummus & pita chips, and some cloth food for our play kitchen that is so adorable I wish I could eat it!

I still think having more children is easier than having fewer!

* I love Christmas time! I am so enjoying our nightly devotionals with Christmas songs, a daily virtue and a Christmas story. I love focusing on Jesus and His life for a whole month. It brings a magical feeling into our home and our children are kinder to each other. I love our beautiful Christmas tree and waking up in the middle of the night to look at the lights. I love listening to Christmas music. I love serving others. I’m so thankful for the special time of year.

* This week, I am really grateful for my vacuum. It may sound silly, but let me tell you, we have a lot of hair in our carpets on a daily basis. We have a dog who lives in our home, one girl with fine, breakable hair, another girl with thick tresses, a papa, who has been called the Missing Link, and me, with the thickest hair ever. All this adds up to a lot of hair even when we vacuum daily. I couldn’t keep my sanity if my vacuum stopped working. I would have to banish all of the hairy people (and dogs) from the house and then poor Fisher and Annesley would be left to fend for themselves and what good would that do?

* I am grateful I have a dad who is a dog expert. Yesterday our Sadie was throwing up and so I hopped on google to figure out what was wrong. After being scared to death and thinking Sadie might die at any moment, I called my dad and he told me exactly what to do get her better. She is doing great now, thank goodness! Thanks dad!

* I’m super grateful for my sewing partners (is it fair to call them partners when they are the ones doing the sewing and I am the one doing the ironing?) Jennifer and Kat are helping me create some adorable things for my girls for Christmas and I can’t wait to give them to them!

Off to play with my kiddos.

I am grateful for the ever inspiring Tracy Ward who lives with passion and shares great things. Went back to Costco and bought six more boxes. Thanks so much for the call!!!

Jenny — we should talk. I’d like to get something for Tracy from Cosco but I don’t have a membership.
